Be Somebody - Gurren Lagann AMV (AkrossCon 2017)

"I just wanna be somebody!" ~ Hey everyone! First and foremost, I'd like to say: THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR 1K SUBS!!!! THANK YOU SOOO MUCH! I started editing on July 12th, 2016 and I can't believe that in just a year and a half I managed to hit 1k subs. It's all thanks to you guys' comments and support that I look forwards to sharing my edits with you all, and have so much fun with this ridiculously time-consuming yet worthwhile hobby! I've always wanted to edit Be Somebody, so while this amv is simple and casual, I'm glad I got to edit this song! I also got some practice with lip syncing : ) And, well, just gonna be honest-- I didn't intend for this AMV to be a 1k special haha-- I started the project about a month and a half ago, but I worked on it so casually and took so many breaks that before I knew it I had hit 1k subs, so I just decided to make this small project my 1k special pftt Btw, I submitted this AMV to AkrossCon 2017! I manged to get through qualifiers with this and now I'm a finalist in the contest! I don't know what placement I have but once results come out I'll update you guys :D Edit: Results came out! I got 3rd place Character Profile, and 27th place Overall. That's not bad-- I'll take it! Most of all, I want to say thank you to all my friends for sticking with me the past year, I love you all! ~~~ Thanks go to Eclipse and Cipi for helping me beta this AMV. Cipi helped me a ton with figuring out how to fix some lip-flap issues, which will definitely help me in the future! And hey Eclipse, I didn't change the random robot scenes since I ran out of motivation, but I did change the static scenes in the chorus, and it looks a lot better now, thank you my man!
