I Barely Finished 100 Miles in Patagonia | Bariloche by UTMB

On the road to UTMB 2027, the journey continues in Patagonia. Bariloche by UTMB is a 100-mile race with over 6,000 metres of climbing through some of the most spectacular terrain I have ever experienced. It is also one of the toughest races I have ever run. There was a moment on the climb before Colonia Suiza when I genuinely wondered whether I would make it to the finish line. The mountains were relentless. The body was fading. The mind was searching for reasons to stop. But ultra running has a strange way of revealing what matters most. What I remember today is not the distance. Not the elevation. Not even the suffering. What I remember are the friendships forged in the pain cave, the conversations shared with runners facing the same struggle, and the gratitude I felt crossing the finish line after one of the hardest days I have ever had in the mountains. This is the story of Bariloche. Another chapter on the road to UTMB 2027. ⸻ 📖 The Pain Cave – Now Available Kindle and Paperback available now on Amazon.
