Police Recruitment Issues

For the first time ever, the Kenya Police and the administration police conducted a nationwide recruitment exercise that saw 7000 prospective officers join the two forces. The exercise that lasted just one day however was not without controversy. The chairman of the constitution implementation commission Charles Nyachae expressed concern that the exercise may not have achieved the constitution-set threshold of having a third of the new recruits as women.
