We Ate WILD MEAT at Carnivore Restaurant Nairobi

Welcome to Kenya's world famous restaurant the Carnivore Restaurant which opened in 1980 and is located by the Wilson Airport in Nairobi. Back before 2004 when the Kenyan Government passed the law against the sale of game meat, Carnivore was known to sell everything from giraffe to zebra, wildebeest, gazelle and more. But now even though zebra steaks are no longer allowed, Carnivore Nairobi serves everything from chicken to beef, lamb, fish, turkey, pork and even crocodile, ostrich and ox BALLS! All the meat is cooked for several hours on a massive charcoal BBQ located at the entrance of the restaurant. This is the Maasai way to cook the meat and it adds so much flavor to it. Many people told us that the Carnivore restaurant in Nairobi is nothing like it was in the early 2000's but to our opinion, the ambiance was very nice, the service excellent and the meat delicious.
