eBay deal! - "well-oiled" solid gold chronograph - watch restoration

I purchased this Sully chronograph from eBay in a non-running condition. I chatted with the seller and he had attempted to get it running again, but admitted he got a little over his skis on it. I gladly accepted the challenge, though the watch arrive complete but in pieces. The movement inside is a Landeron 51, which was a common cam operated chronograph produced beginning in the 1930's. The following repairs were needed in addition to a full cleaning: Mainspring barrel hole needed to be closed Made a new click spring from a guitar string to replace the broken original Hairspring needed manipulation to make it concentric Chrono eccentric screws required adjustment for smooth operation I am an amateur who enjoys restoring vintage watches to working order.
