Joaquín Rodrigo – Fandango (from Tres piezas españolas)
Fandango is the second movement of Joaquín Rodrigo’s Tres piezas españolas, composed in 1954 for solo guitar. Driven by vibrant dance rhythms, brilliant guitar writing, and striking harmonies, the piece transforms the traditional Spanish fandango into a refined and exhilarating concert work. Very special thanks to my teacher, Dmitry Zagumennikov, for his support, guidance, and generosity. In addition to all his help during our lessons, he provided all the recording equipment and kindly lent me his beautiful Andrés Marvi guitar for this performance. / @zagumennikov_guitar Guitar: Andrés Daniel Marvi / @donandreselguitarrero
