Cardi-OH ECHO QI - Process Mapping
For the fifth clinic of the Cardi-OH ECHO QI Cardiovascular Series, Aleece Caron, PhD, differentiates process mapping and gemba walk methodologies. She then applies process mapping techniques to identify workflow inefficiencies in patient care as well as conducts a structure gemba walk to observe and improve care delivery processes. Practics then discuss a clinical pearl on initiating discussions on weight management with patients and review a case study on a fabricated clinic's plan to develop a process map to improve the identification of patients who can benefit from statin therapy.
