The greatest purity is safeguarding the heart from kufr and shirk, for leaving this world with such impurities seals a person’s fate in destruction. Zina begins long before the act itself, which is why Allah commands, “Do not even go near it.” The first safeguards include lowering the gaze, avoiding intermingling, and never sitting in seclusion with non-mahrams. Violating these leads a person step-by-step into destruction. True success in deen is not in outward acts alone—Hajj, charity, and effort— but in taqwa, the constant avoidance of disobedience. Sins burn taqwa, while purity nurtures light, tranquility, and closeness to Allah. Staying far from zina and all its pathways is essential for protecting faith, family, and one’s dunya and akhirah.
