Modern Messer Manual I: basic mechanics
Hello everyone! It's finally here! The first actual video in the Modern Messer manual, detailing the basic mechanics that I think everyone should learn and then regularly revisit. The idea here is to start with holding the messer, moving through the Vier Leger to add attacks and then finally parries to create a full system of basics. This in itself allows people to actually fence already, but it is also everything you need to start building more advanced techniques on, such as the windings that I will cover in the next big video. For now, this was quite a bit of work though, so I'll be focussing on some other videos such as the one about protective gear and the contextualisation of fencing techniques. I hope you enjoy this video and that it has some use for you. If you'd be interested in supporting the channel or are looking for extra content in general, have a look at Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/virtualfechts... The videos in this series will be released on Patreon much earlier, and will also be accompanied by further tutorials. I can definitely recommend checking it out! Music courtesy of epidemicsound.com
