Kanako Yasaka is the Final Boss of the game Mountain of Faith, the 10th installment of the Touhou Project. The Touhou Project is series of danmaku shooters where everything is out to kill you, be it a killer maid, a killer rabbit, a killer god, or a killer tissue. The creator of this logic defying wonderland? No other than Jun'ya Ota... I think. I once commented on how Kanako is mostly talk and how she acts godlike for no apparent reason. Well, Ice Rain wasn't/weren't the only one(s) thinking the same. "SWEET and GENTLE" by GP KIDS is a ReimuxSanae doujin (don't worry, is only "x" in a platonic way since Reimu is a kid, mostly) Point is, in the doujin, when Sanae calls Kanako, Reimu first thoughts? "You just HAD to go out of your way to be awe-inspiring." So yeah...There's also another doujin called "Though the wind cries" by Iyokan. This one is slightly more NSFW due to 1 or 2 pages. However, it is an interesting take on Kanako and Suwako past (with emphasis on Suwako). It also shows more of Kanako's Magnificent B**** status. Always good to look at Gensokyo with a serious light. I imagine Kanako as one of the most formidable looking characters in Gensokyo, despite being all talk. She stands up there as one of the tallest characters in the series, with very warrior-like features. To top it off, I would classify most Touhou girls as cute or beautiful (read, hot), but gorgeous is another thing. For a character to be gorgeous, her presence must stun whoever sees her and she must portray an aura of awe. So yeah, you can already see why the awe inspiring Kanako is considered gorgeous. And I definitely wasn't thinking of "Kochiya-ke" when I wrote this. ._. About this stage: this stage is mainly streaming until you get to Kanako. Kanako fight by itself is a pretty so-so fight compared to jewels like Yuyuko, Eirin, and Utsuho. Despite what I showed, Kanako has some pretty easy spells, an extremely uninteresting background, and Suwa Foughten Field is my most disliked Final Boss song after Lunatic Princess. However, when I recorded this, that's a whole entire set of circumstances. I already knew what arrange of Suwa Foughten Fields I was going to use. When I was recording this run, I had my MP3 with me and, since I was recording without music, I decided to try different songs. When the recording arrived to Kanako, I immediately switched to "神さびた古戦場　～ Suwa Foughten Field" by Demetori. The first time I heard the song, I was amazed. I loved the arrange, hated the original, and I knew I had to use it for this fight. But I didn't knew how much that was going to change my perspective on this fight. At first the song fitted nicely, nothing outstanding. However, as the fight progressed, I was blown away. This is how a Final Boss should feel like. I wasn't even playing the game and I could feel the intense, glorious, and epic battle that was going on. This song truly makes you feel like you're fighting the god that defeated Suwa's Iron Rings. It fits perfectly with the mood of this battle. This is THE Suwa Fougthen Field arrange. Well, this is for my Lunatic Faith run, also known as Mountain Playthrough and Faithful Lunacy. Man this was tiring to do. I guess next up is MegaMari (But I'll probably say a last minute "screw this" and go back to danmaku). A note about this video: This video marks me switching to a better editing program. I'm now using Sony Vegas. This has its pro and cons. For starters, Vegas allow me a greater variety of options when it comes to transitions. In other words, no more freeze in the last frame, then start transition. In general, I have more editing options and more exactitude and precision at the time of editing. I'm still unsure about the quality itself, but it looks the same after I managed to avoid the interpolation of frames technical babble =v Hopefully my videos will be easier to the eye.
