He has been a faculty member of the University of Connecticut since 1975 and is best known for his scientific position on the possibility of time travel. After the sudden passing of his father when Ron was just a boy, he dedicated his life to understanding whether time travel was possible. After serving in the army, he studied Physics, eventually obtaining his PhD, specialising in Einstein's Theory of Relativity. Professor Mallett's breakthrough came when he discovered that time travel IS possible, and detailed how to build a time machine.
