Fresh F3-RES 2M Glider - Building the Rudder and Elevator, Pt2

In this video I assemble the rudder and elevator for the Fresh F3-RES 2M Competition Glider and go over the electronics I'll be using. The Fresh is a 2 meter sailplane designed for the RES or Rudder, Elevator, Spoiler spec. I bought it to compete in 2 meter TD (Thermal Duration) events. It is a highly regarded F3-RES model that flies excellently and builds comparatively quickly. The big benefits of this model are its carbon tubular spars and carbon tailboom for lighter weight, and lower fuselage drag. The Fresh combines a very good glide angle with excellent thermal performance and good-natured handling. It costs $175.56 and is sold through HyperFlight (link below). The RES competition spec is designed to keep the gliders in this class inexpensive and attractive to both beginners and experienced pilots. The kits must be mostly wood construction and controls are limited to rudder, elevator, and spoilers. This means that the planes can be flown without the need for an advanced programmable radio.
