St Sava's Day Aliquippa PA USA

Our beloved St. Sava's Day (January 27) is celebrated joyously in Serbian Orthodox Churches throughout the world as children look forward to sharing their knowledge through poems and songs to St. Sava. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, Kumovi, and fellow parishioners love clapping for the students' dedication. Here we take you to St. Elijah Serbian Orthodox parish in Aliquippa, PA, near the Pittsburgh Airport. Our Parish Priest is V. Rev. Strav. Stevan Stepanov who is helped with our wonderful altar boys at St. Elijah's. The St. Elijah Choir is under the capable direction of Andy Muha, who shares directing talents with Kathy Loverich. The 2010 Honored Kumovi were Michael Malobabich & Natasha Cvjetkovic. The class representatives were Luka Kosanovich, Katherine Sabak, Kaitlyn Chicester, Nicky Kosanovich & Max Miller. Twenty-seven children gave their declamaticas in the church hall later to an appreciative audience. The St. Elijah Kolo ladies and Mother's Club worked to prepare a lovely meatloaf dinner with delicious home made desserts. All hearts were full!
