Hytera DMR GPS tracking and range testing - Part 1

Part 2 is here:    • Hytera DMR GPS tracking and range testing ...   Back again with the first part of our GPS tracking and range testing using Hytera DMR radios. Here we show the MD655G setup to transmit it's GPS position every 1 minute. This beacon is sent to the radio ID of our MD785G which is connected to a PC where the GPS positions are decoded and saved to a log file. This log file can then be opened in Google Earth to show the real over-the-air positions of the mobile station. In the next video (part 2) we will show the results on the map from a drive around town with this setup installed in the car.
