Landvaettir and Land Wights - Norse Pagan Nature Spirit Worship
Giving respect to the Landvaettir was a practice of Anglo Saxons and Norse Pagans. They gave reverence to certain rocks, or places of power. Often this was considered as a foolish and simple act of superstition by Christian missionaries, but was there a foundation of truth in these beliefs? And could we, too learn to honour and respect the invisible world of Spirit that can be seen or sensed in the world around us?
