Sunset approach to Helsinki (OH-WOW, DA40NG)

We took a day trip to Tallinn and planned so that we can make the sunset approach to Helsinki. Some uncertainties were in place, as the cloud cover in Helsinki was overcast at the time of our takeoff. But we knew it prolly opens up quickly and the weather stations were all inland. In order to travel on top of the clouds we needed to have clear openings on Helsinki side in order to land. The other choice then was to fly back below the clouds, but we aimed for a bit higher when crossing the Gulf of Finland. There was icing in clouds and as we flew VFR, punching through wasn't really an option. Anyhow, it worked nicely. After leaving Tallinn control zone we saw that we have ok clouds and actually the weather had cleared nicely over Helsinki as well. Perfect!
