Do Chinese Cars Really Depreciate Badly???

Here’s a description that matches the documentary, investigative style of the video: ⸻ Everyone says Chinese cars depreciate faster than everything else on the road… but is that actually true? To find out, I analysed 73 used cars across South Africa, comparing Chinese, German, Japanese and Korean models with similar ages and mileage. From the Haval Jolion, Chery Tiggo 4 Pro and Omoda C5, to the VW Polo, Polo Vivo, T-Cross, Toyota Corolla Cross, Suzuki Swift, Suzuki Baleno and Kia Sonet, I wanted to see what the used car market is really saying about resale value. The results weren’t always what I expected, and some of the biggest surprises came from brands with the strongest reputations. Watch until the end to see the full resale value rankings and find out which cars held their value best. As always, let me know your thoughts in the comments, and if you enjoyed this type of data-driven investigation, don’t forget to subscribe for more South African motoring content.
