DO YOU SPEND TIME THINKING ABOUT YOUR MORTALITY

Today, I attended the funeral of a very dear friend. He was a little younger than me. He passed away from Glioblastoma, a brain cancer. He only lived about a year after he was diagnosed. Watching what he and his family went through reminded me of my wife's cancer. I think we all know someone who has or had cancer or at least know someone affected by it. Retirement has changed the way I think about time, priorities, purpose, and the things I still hope to experience. Attending today's funeral reminded me that none of us knows how much time we have left. I think most of us know someone who has had cancer—or at least know someone whose life has been affected by it. How has that changed the way you think about your own life, retirement, or bucket list? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments. Your experiences may help someone else who is navigating retirement, grief, loss, or simply trying to live more intentionally. I am trying to prioritize the places I want to go, things I want to see and I love to hear how you look at your life.
