How is an entire logistics warehouse kept frozen? What technology allows for the preservation of tons of food, the cooling of large factories, or the production of ice on an industrial scale? We visited a trade fair in Canton to discover the industrial refrigeration business in China: large refrigeration systems, cold storage rooms, compressors, evaporators, condensers, ice machines, and equipment designed to operate at sub-zero temperatures. It's an essential industry for food, logistics, supermarkets, hospitality, data centers, and numerous manufacturing processes. It's a technology we use every day, although we almost never see how it works from the inside.
