Did I Make a Mistake? - 2 Year Rolex Explorer 124270 Review

2 years ago I bought the Rolex Explorer 124270, my grail watch. After 2 years of daily wear, here is my honest long-term review: the good, the bad, and whether I would still recommend it. The Rolex Explorer has always been my idea of the perfect watch. Clean dial, no complications, built to go anywhere. The ultimate GADA (go anywhere, do anything) watch. And after two years of owning the 124270, I can tell you it mostly lived up to those expectations, but not without some real frustrations. This new reference has some serious flaws. The 19mm lug width limits your strap options in a way the older 114270 never did. The tapering bracelet is a divisive design choice. And the Caliber 3230 movement has well-documented issues in the collector community that Rolex has never fully addressed. So do those negatives outweigh the positives? In this video I give you my complete two-year ownership verdict.
