The Story of Forsaken and OpTic India | CS:GO Cheater Caught Hacking on LAN

A re-telling of all the events that lead to the formation and disbanding of OpTic India. Forsaken cheating in Shanghai brought turmoil to CS:GO in India. When OpTic Gaming announced that they were coming to India, everyone thought that this would be the move that marks the meteoric growth of esports in the country. When the dust settled, Nikhil 'Forsaken' Kumawat talked to AFK Gaming about why he used hacks on the main stage of the ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND event in Shanghai, China. Questions were raised about whether or not he was using cheats, and more specifically 'word.exe', at the OpTic India tryouts or even other prestigious LANs in the country like the ESL India Premiership. However, not all is lost and like many other high profile CS:GO cheaters and hackers he too was caught. Indian esports continues to grow at a phenomenal pace with events like DreamHack and ESL One coming to Mumbai. The rest of the OpTic India players have already moved on to teams like Signify and Entity Gaming.
