Projectiology, as proposed by Waldo Vieira, is a specialty within Conscientiology and studies the projections of consciousness outside the physical body; that is, the actions of consciousness (ego, self, or human personality) in non-physical dimensions, free from the constraints of the biological body. The science of Projectiology, as proposed by Waldo Vieira, also investigates other projectiological phenomena, such as: bilocation, clairvoyance, near-death experience (NDE), intuition, precognition, retrocognition, and telepathy. LINK Waldo Vieira was born in Monte Carmelo, Minas Gerais, on April 12, 1932. An independent researcher, writer, and professor, Waldo Vieira graduated in Dentistry (1954) and Medicine (1960), with postgraduate studies in Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery in Tokyo, Japan. Waldo Vieira proposed the neosciences Projectiology and Conscientiology, systematized in the treatises "Projectiology: Panorama of Experiences of Consciousness Outside the Human Body" (1986) and "700 Experiments in Conscientiology" (1994). Waldo Vieira began studying parapsychological phenomena (extrasensory perception, mediumship, paranormal activity) in childhood and became a member of leading parapsychological research institutions, such as the SPR – Society for Psychical Research (London, United Kingdom), ASPR – American Society for Psychical Research (New York, USA), the Brazilian Association of Parapsychology (Rio de Janeiro – RJ), and CEAEC – Center for Advanced Studies in Consciousness (Foz do Iguaçu – PR). Waldo Vieira wrote dozens of books and hundreds of articles related to research on consciousness beyond matter or the biological brain alone. Waldo Vieira's psychography (mediumistic writing), manifested at age 13, was perfected and, by age 23, when he met the famous medium Chico Xavier, it was fully developed. The first book psychographed by Waldo Vieira and Chico Xavier was "Evolution in Two Worlds," published in 1958. Within Spiritism, Waldo Vieira psychographed dozens of works, either solo or in partnership with Chico Xavier. In 1966, Waldo Vieira left the Spiritist Movement to dedicate himself to independent research. Experienced in research on conscious projection (astral travel, out-of-body experience) since the age of nine, Waldo Vieira had lucid out-of-body experiences since the early 1940s and became a world reference in Projectiology and Conscientiology. In the 1980s, Waldo Vieira was one of the founders of the IIP, now the IIPC – International Institute of Projectiology and Conscientiology. In 2000, Waldo Vieira settled in Foz do Iguaçu, residing on the campus of CEAEC - Center for Advanced Studies in Conscientiology, aiming to bring together volunteer researchers to expand Conscientiology in the Triple Frontier region, establishing Cognópolis - the Neighborhood of Knowledge, the City of Knowledge. Cognópolis has twenty Conscientiology institutions (many founded by Waldo Vieira), the Mabu Interludium Iguassu Convention Hotel, and projects under construction: the Cognopolitan Agora and the Holoteca Megacultural Center, a project conceived by Oscar Niemeyer.
