My name is Daiki Nakazawa, representative of Ottoriya Nakazawa. Born in 1977 From Ichinomiya City, Aichi Prefecture My reason for starting acoustic guitar was becoming a fan of Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi when I was in the fourth grade of elementary school. I still remember being deeply moved, even as a child, by how cool he was at expressing himself with just an acoustic guitar. Then, in the first year of junior high school, I finally got my hands on my long-desired acoustic guitar. I spent every day practicing, neglecting my studies, and my mother often got angry at me. After entering high school, I worked part-time as a waiter for 650 yen an hour and bought my dream all-black "YAMAHA APX10S" on loan. I still keep that APX in an acrylic case and display it carefully. After graduating from high school, I took a completely different path from my current profession. I've worked many jobs: a route salesman for vending machines, a waiter at a club in Nagoya's entertainment district, Nishiki 3-chome, a manager at a brand-name shop, a car buying company, and finally, sales for an injection mold manufacturer. While working as a salaried employee, my hobby of playing the guitar grew, and for about 10 years I ran a side business buying and selling guitars. I believe that was the origin of Ottoriya. In 2010, I met a repairman who taught me everything about acoustic guitars from scratch. Without this encounter, Ottoriya wouldn't exist today. After that, I continued to save money through my side business while studying, and in 2013 I quit my job. In 2014, I opened my long-awaited Ottoriya. I am currently very happy to be working in a job that deals with acoustic guitars, which I love. Through acoustic guitars, I've met many acoustic guitar enthusiasts, and I'm enjoying fulfilling days. Going forward, we will further spread the wonder of acoustic guitars to the world, and support our customers in returning to the "boy who first picked up a guitar" and reliving their youth.
