This past Sunday, we continued our Holy Habits series with James 4:13–5:6, exploring three spiritual warning signs we can't afford to ignore: the dangers of presuming what’s ahead, delaying what’s right, and trusting in what we have. We looked into the subtext of these dangers, exploring the exposures of projecting our futures without God, the traps of delaying action that we know we should take up, and the doomed path of trusting in wealth’s false reliance. This Sunday, we step into Ezekiel and the Old Testament to look at the actual tools God provides for our soul’s repair. We’ll talk about the cleansing metaphor of “blood” and how it has the power to cleanse the past, remake stubborn hearts, and empower us by the Spirit. Together we’ll be reminded that the way we’re saved is also the exact way we’re sustained.
