New Amtrak Cascades Airo Trainset Departs Seattle!

#train #bnsf #railroadcrossing #railfan #amtrak #amtrakcascades Early in the morning on the Seattle waterfront, I was waiting for one of the new Amtrak Cascades Airo test trains to arrive. The trainset was running under its own power, with ALC42E, number 7001, leading. This was also my first time seeing the set moving on its own, as the last time I observed it was on the Empire Builder in Edmonds when it first arrived in the Pacific Northwest. I was also really tired since I had to wake up early to record this run from Seattle at 7am. Unfortunately revenue service won’t start until the fall of 2026. This was filmed on the BNSF Scenic Subdivision in Seattle, Washington. The rail line is used by Sounder and Amtrak passenger trains along with BNSF freight trains on a daily basis.
