This 2-way valve has the task of passing water only when the level probe detects lack of water. For example, if we make coffee it must remain closed otherwise the water would not go only to the coffee exchanger but also to the steam boiler. While when the water load is activated in the steam boiler the valve must let the water pass. When this valve does not work correctly, 2 problems may occur: 1 the nucleus does not rise: in this case the water cannot go into the steam boiler. therefore the electronic board does not enable the heating and sends the machine in lockout. 2 the nucleus does not close: water passes through the valve even when it should not pass. In this way the steam boiler continues to fill and the coffee pressure (with the blind filter) is lower than 3 bar. the steam will also be too wet.
