Marine Littoral Deltas & Hyperpycnal Littoral Deltas vs Parasequences

In this video I will discuss the origin and interpretation of the coarsening and thickening upward successions (Elementary Depositional Sequences sensu Mutti) we often found in the stratigraphic record. In the literature these successions are commonly referred as "parasequences" but this concept is mostly descriptive, and doesn't explain how sediments are supplied, and how allocycles and autocycles effectively control the sedimentation.
