My first time glamping! Sleeping in a tipi in Marfa, TX Hey guys! I took my boyfriend Jordan to Marfa, a small town in western TX for his birthday/our anniversary and it was so much fun! I found out about Marfa and El Cosmico from my friend, Sameerah, who told me about the fun retro trailers you can rent out and stay in. at the El Cosmico campground. Upon doing research, I found out El Cosmico also offer alternate lodging accommodations such as safari tents, yurts, and tipis. Personally, I have had a fascination with tipis ever since learning about them in second grade so when I found out we actually had the opportunity to sleep in a teepee I jumped at it and booked our trip to this adorable little town. Marfa is actually an international travel destination thanks to Donald Judd, a New York artist who moved to Marfa in the mid twentieth century and started the art movement in this unlikely town. People travel from far away to visit the Chinati Foundation where Judd has much of his art displayed as well as other popular landmarks such as the Prada Marfa store that is a 35 minute drive west of Marfa to a closed a desolated Prada store displaying vintage handbags and shoes. This IG worthy site is so popular that the Queen B, Beyonce, herself has made a stop here for a quick photo opp. Here is a look into what our first day in Marfa looked like!
