During WW2 Bulgaria occupied parts of Yugoslavia. Bulgaria had joined the Axis but didn't take part in the Axis invasion of Yugoslavia, nor the German invasion of Greece. As an Axis Power Bulgaria was awared with parts of the region of Macedonia: in both Greece and the former Yugoslav Kingdom.
