Hurricane Dorian will live long in the collective memory as the storm that defied all expectations. The storm that made one of the strongest landfalls in the Atlantic basin on the first day of September 2019 - tied only with the Labor Day hurricane of 1935 with winds of 185mph at landfall. Dorian then did the unthinkable, and stalled over Grand Bahama, still as a Category 5 hurricane.
