Before Operation Blue Star shook the nation in 1984, there was another plan. A secret plan. It was called Operation Sundown. The objective? To use the ultra-secret Special Group (SG) commandos to fly helicopters into the Golden Temple complex, snatch Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale from the Guru Nanak Niwas, and extract him alive-all in the dead of night.
