Edward Mapplethorpe discusses his acclaimed 2016 book ONE: Sons & Daughters (powerHouse Books) that was recently featured in the windows of Bergdorf Goodman and CBS Sunday Morning with Charles Osgood. The culmination of a twenty-year project the book features a series of photographic portraits that capture the fleeting yet universal moment of life when a child reaches one year of age. In addition Edward shares his general process of concept development, highlight his most recent body of work The Cube and share some of his reflections on assisting his brother Robert Mapplethorpe (1946-1989).
