No Toca Botón was an Argentine television comedy program starring Alberto Olmedo and directed by Hugo Sofovich. It was Alberto Olmedo's biggest television success, with Javier Portales and César Bertrand as supporting actors. In the first year, Moria Casán co-starred with Olmedo as the lead actress, and was replaced in 1982 by Susana Traverso, who remained on the show until 1985, the year Mónica Gonzaga debuted in the memorable sketch "The Psychoanalyst." The most memorable sketches from No Toca Botón include: Rucucu, The Faith Healer, Borges and Álvarez, Rogelio Roldán, José Refrán, and Lucy, The Psychoanalyst. The actresses Silvia Pérez, Beatriz Salomón, Adriana Brodsky, Susana Romero, Divina Gloria, Judith Gabbani, Soledad Silveyra, Patricia Lissi, and Susana Giménez, and the actors Javier Portales, Vicente La Russa, and Adrián Martel also participated in the program. The last episode aired on December 18, 1987, on Channel 9. In this video, we see Alberto Olmedo (1933-1988) (Borges) and Javier Portales (1937-2003) (Álvarez) alongside Silvia Pérez, Divina Gloria, Beatriz Salomón (1953-2019), César Bertrand (1934-2008), and Vicente La Russa (1928-2008). The sketches by Borges and Álvarez were among the most celebrated by television audiences in the 1980s due to the improvisations performed by both artists. The Autonomous City of Buenos Aires placed the statues of the characters portrayed by Olmedo and Portales, that is, Borges and Álvarez, on Corrientes Avenue and Uruguay Street.
