Basic Principles of Design and Their Traces in Architecture

You are invited to our Webinar: “Basic Principles of Design and Their Traces in Architecture” with Prof.Dr. Tevfik Balcioglu, who is our lecturer in the Faculty of Design. The first part of this lecture introduces the basic principles of design which can be listed as proportion, scale, balance, harmony, unity, rhythm, emphasis, space, line, colour, light, texture, shape and form. The second part consists of the speaker’s personal visits to various cities, sites and important buildings around the world. He looks into these built environments, cityscape and architecture and interprets them from the view point of design principles discussed before.
