Modern period products are taken for granted today. But how were menstruation and period care actually managed before tampons, disposable pads, menstrual cups, or period underwear existed? For this video, I researched, recreated, and tested historical period products in everyday life. My goal was to find out: • What solutions were used in the past? • How comfortable are they really? • What are their advantages and disadvantages compared to modern products? • And can we derive any ideas for today from them? We'll also take a look at materials, modern period products, and why I even started looking for alternatives in the first place.
