MouseSteps Weekly #205: Halloween Characters & Parade; MK Christmas; Frozen; Once Upon a Time

In Mousesteps Weekly #205, we talk about the final days of Halloween followed by the kickoff of Christmas! We first take a look around the Magic Kingdom as Halloween comes to an end there. We stop in Tomorrowland to look at the blue rocks and new Carousel of Progress sign. Next, we head to Liberty Square to check out The Muppets Present...Great Moments in American History shows. And we stop by Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, which will re-open from refurbishment on November 18th. On Halloween Eve, we head to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort for the annual Golf Cart Parade (which is usually held on Halloween day). We stop by to check out the pumpkins on display. Both the golf carts and carved & decorated pumpkins are created by the campsite guests! The Headless Horseman also made an appearance. We end our evening walking around the decorated campsites. On Halloween itself, we went to some resorts to look at decorations and meet characters. Oogie Boogie was at Saratoga Springs, he was the most popular of the characters we met. 2 days later, the Magic Kingdom was decorated for Christmas! While the Christmas tree was not yet up, other decorations were and the Cinderella Castle lighting (A Frozen Holiday Wish) kicked off for the season. Other holiday offerings included a holiday finale of Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire, Jingle Cruise (which we did not do that day) and more. On our next visit, November 4th, the Christmas tree was up and the new "Once Upon a Time" projection show on Cinderella Castle debuted. We talk about that.
