Nagelknoten (Nail Knot)
Der Nagelknoten ist eine Adaption des Snellings und wird beim Fliegenfischen verwendet, um die Fliegenschnur mit dem unteren Teil des Vorfachs zu verbinden. Sein Name soll in den 1950er Jahren entstanden sein, als ein bekannter amerikanischer Fliegenfischer namens Joe Brooks in Argentinien den Knoten mithilfe eines Hufeisennagels lernte. The nail knot is an adaptation of snelling and is used in fly-fishing to join the fly line to the butt section of the leader. Its name is said to have originated in the 1950s when a noted American flyfisherman named Joe Brooks learned the knot in Argentina using a horseshoe nail.
