Catching a Real River Monster

I went fishing for giant white sturgeon, the largest freshwater fish in North America. These ancient river monsters grow up to 20 feet in length and can weigh well over 1,000 pounds. Sturgeon are one of the oldest fish on the planet, living for longer than 100 years in the Fraser River. This iconic river stretches 850 miles from the Rocky Mountains to the Pacific Ocean, flowing through Chilliwack, British Columbia. Home to Yves Bisson (Be sawn), who has spent the last 30 years exploring these waters. He's caught more than 28,000 sturgeon—some weighing over 700 pounds.
