Diana Ross - Musical Legacy Tour 2022-2023, Pt 6 (The Rarities)

This is PART SIX of seven videos from Diana Ross’ Musical Legacy Tour of 2022-2023, focusing on songs that she seldom sings in concert. When she sings these songs, it's a treat. Some of these songs are hard for her to sing because they bring back memories of love lost. Ms Ross can get very emotional on stage, so she tries to keep the pace active by bouncing from one song to the next. She's all about energy. But when she slows down the moment and sings these songs; it's like she's singing to us directly because she's singing from her heart. I've now included "The Look of Love" - which was a staple of her show since the "I Love You" tour but she has since retired it, in favor of songs from her "Thank You" album. Every once in a while, she will bring it out so that we can see the more playful side of her on stage. The chemistry with John Scarpella is undeniable. At one show, they made each other giggle at the start of the song but I couldn't capture it because an usher had already warned our section that no videos should be taken, even though they were allowed in other sections of the theater. Just my luck! Now that is just a memory lost to time. But at least I was able to capture these and archive them for you to see, if you haven't heard these songs during one of your Ross outings. I usually avoid filming entire performances, but the Musical Legacy Tour was special—featuring stops in the Netherlands and her first appearance at London’s Royal Albert Hall since 1985. This collection includes shows from 2022-2023 at Radio City Music Hall in NYC, several venues in California, Wolf Trap in Virginia, and the Hershey Theatre in Pennsylvania. Having sat in different spots at each show, the footage offers varied perspectives, and I’ve rearranged the songs for this presentation.
