Beautiful Christmas piano music from Finland - J. Sibelius - En etsi valtaa, loistoa | Adam Herd

This year is a special one for Finland, celebrating 100 years of independence. So I wanted to say happy birthday and merry Christmas to my adopted home in my own way. I love the strong Christmas music tradition that exists here and I hope you enjoy my arrangement of one of the most beautiful Finnish carols: En etsi valtaa, loistoa (Giv mig ej glans, ej guld, ej prakt). Filming this video was one of the toughest yet - we went in search of snowy fields, but forgot the piano stool. We had issues with the wind and the freezing conditions made playing almost impossible. To top it off, the camera broke at the start of the first take, so the whole thing was filmed on a phone. But some Finnish "sisu" saw us through.
