Senior volunteer Ilona Price trains volunteers at the Prince George's County Animal Shelter on techniques to handle shelter dogs (this is part 2/2). The material covered in this course includes methods for identifying, assessing, and safely handling fearful, timid, and overly stimulated dogs. Additional topics covered during the training include the limitations on who can be walked, the length of stray holds, and how breed-specific legislation in Prince George's County is implemented at the Animal Shelter.
