Calígine - Baba Yaga

"Baba Yaga" is a descent into the forest, into the realm of the witch whose name has haunted Slavic folklore for centuries. She is the crone in the hut that walks on chicken legs, surrounded by bones and smoke, a figure of terror but also of wisdom. To some, she is a devourer of souls; to others, a keeper of secret knowledge, a guide for those who dare to face her trials. Her story is a reminder that the wild, the strange, and the frightening once lived at the edges of human life — in the forests we feared and revered. Today, when the woods are cut down and mystery is paved over, Baba Yaga still lingers in the shadows of our imagination, laughing in the cracks of modern certainty. She teaches that the monstrous and the wise often share the same face. „Baba Jaga“ je zostup do lesa, do ríše čarodejnice, ktorej meno prenasleduje slovanský folklór už stáročia. Je to babizna v chatrči, ktorá kráča po kuracích nohách, obklopená kosťami a dymom, postava hrôzy, ale aj múdrosti. Pre niektorých je požieračkou duší; pre iných strážkyňou tajných vedomostí, sprievodkyňou pre tých, ktorí sa odvážia čeliť jej skúškam. Jej príbeh je pripomienkou, že divoké, zvláštne a desivé kedysi žilo na okraji ľudského života – v lesoch, ktorých sme sa báli a uctievali.
