Restoring a Savanna Corridor in Athi–Kapiti | MMTC, Kiseki & AKWCA

In this video, MMTC visits a 700-acre degraded savanna landscape next to Maanzoni, an important wildlife corridor linking Maanzoni, Malinda Conservancy and Kasanga Conservancy. Together with our partners at Kiseki Ltd. & AKWCA, we planted and began growing 250 indigenous seedlings from 13 species to support habitat diversity, wildlife movement and long-term savanna ecosystem restoration. The activity also connects waste management with restoration, as collected glass bottles will support MMTC’s next wildlife waterhole. MMTC’s approach is rooted in long-term stewardship: growing indigenous trees, protecting wildlife habitat, improving water access, supporting community learning and restoring the savanna as a living ecosystem. #MMTreeChallenge #EcosystemRestoration #MaanzoniMillionTreeChallenge #SavannaRestoration #RestoreNature #ClimateAction #TreePlantingKenya #WaterForWildlife #CommunityConservation #WildlifeCorridor #NatureBasedSolutions #LandRestoration #EnvironmentalStewardship #ConservationKenya #UNDecadeOnRestoration #NativeTrees #Biodiversity #Sustainability #AthiKapiti #Maanzoni
