Secret Rock Shelter and Views Along the A.T.

This time we’re hiking to Chimney Rocks—one of the more underrated overlooks along the Appalachian Trail in southern Pennsylvania. I was joined by Cliff, better known as ‪@thewanderingwoodsman7227‬ , for a day hike packed with vibrant fall color, sweeping views, and a little bit of unexpected exploring. The hike is just under 3 miles out-and-back, with moderate elevation gain and some great rock formations along the way. We even took a short side trip to check out an old rock shelter tucked beneath the ridge.
