♥ Oh Mickey, You're So Fine ♥ [4 Year Vidding Anniversay Video]
"The life and ventures of Mickey Mouse have been closely bound up with my own personal and professional life. It is understandable that I should have a sentimental attachment to the little personage who played a big part in the course of Disney Productions and has been so happily accepted as an amusing friend wherever films are shown around the world. He still speaks for me and I still speak for him."--Walt Disney Oh! I'm so happy and excited about this video. I know it may be SUPER DUPER CHEESY but it's REALLY special to me, for many different reasons.... I started this video after I came home from my FIRST Disney trip[so it's been sitting around for over a year!] I was so in love with Disney and Mickey that I was inspired to do something. I know this is a bit lame and stupid but I felt it would be adorable and fun; something that I think would fit Mickey since he's just so...there are no words to describe my love for Mickey. I adore this little guy to bits. I mean, who doesn't love Mickey Mouse! MICKEY IS DISNEY! And it makes me sad that he's not really a part of pop culture that much, not like he used to be. It makes me sad that shows like House of Mouse, which showed some hilarious and entertaining Mickey cartoons, is no longer on the air. Sometimes I wonder what Walt Disney would think of what has become of Disney today. Well, no matter what happens, I love the classics, and I love Mickey. I hope this little video puts a smile on your face and reminds you "that it was all started by a mouse." Another reason this video is so special is today marks my four year vidding anniversary. Four years ago I made the crappiest video ever[a stupid slideshow of some Star Wars arts I made] I I was familiar with youtube, as I had joined the site 3 months prior, but I didn't know how to make a video...until I opened Movie Maker[on a computer that is now "dead"] and started playing around and "learning" how to use the program. I remember being so excited I rushed to tell my dad I'd learned how to make videos. Well, the first like...30+ videos sucked. They were all Star Wars videos[this was back when I was UBER OBSESSED with SW]. I didn't start using real clips until like my 50th video, and even then...they all sucked. I don't have any of those videos anymore since over the course of 4 years I've used like 6 computers and 5 of them "died". I've literally made so many videos I don't even keep count anymore. Over the course of these 4 years so much has happened. I've learned so much. And I'm so proud to say I've used Windows Movie Maker every step of the way[save for a few videos with Ulead and a trial of Sony Vegas...which those sucked!]. I have taught myself everything I know[except for the times I ask for help...thanks Liv!]. People always say Movie Maker sucks...well, just look at my work. It's all with Movie Maker. I'd like to say looking back at my progression over these 4 years it really lives up to the "practice makes perfect" logic, even though I am far from perfect. To me, perfection is what you make it out to be. If you enjoy what you do, you should be proud. I never expected to come as far as I have. My fandoms and interests in vidding have grown and broadened so much! I started with just Star Wars, and now I can do pretty much anything I want[after waiting 4 years to get my own computer that I don't have to share]. I love it. Vidding has become such a passion for me; something I never expected to happen. And I hope it stays with me for years and years to come! Also, I've met so many wonderful and talented people who share the same interests and passions I do. I think Jessica[Haydensdreamygirl] and Lauren[laurenmcquilty] can vouch for me on all this because they've been there for me since the beginning. But I love all my friends. You all inspire me so much and I feel really blessed. Thank you so much for all that you do. I love you guys so much! Thank you so much for 4 wonderful and amazing years of making awesome, fun, and sometimes stupid, videos! My love and passion for this art is what keeps me going! Here's to many more! I kept this simple. It has no colors/textures, overlays, or watermarks. I think that makes it even more special because it's raw. I wanted to capture the magic and spirit of Mickey without it drowning in effects and all that jazz. I know the quality sucks. I got all my Mickey clips from YT.
