Rivet is a semi-fastening device, used to connect sheets semi-permanently. In today's video, we will know: Introduction of Revet, Classification of Rivet, Riveting Joints & Riveting Tools Rivet mainly consists of three parts: Head, Shank or Body & Tail Rivet is made of soft metals such as copper, brass, aluminum, mild steel etc. Riveting is the method of spreading the tail end of a job or plate by fitting a rivet into the hole. There are mainly three types of Rivet depending on the texture: Solid rivet, hollow rivet, and bifurcated rivet Rivets are of the following types, depending on the size of the head: Snap or Cup head rivet, Conical head rivet, Flat countersunk head rivet, Round countersunk head rivet, Pan head rivet, Flat head rivet and Tapered head pan head rivet There are mainly two types of joints used when joining a metal sheet by rivet: Lap Joint and Butt joint Major tools used for riveting: Revet set, Dolly, Rivet Snap, Drift, Caulking tool, Fullering tool.
